Video Shows A Typical Traditional Liposuction Surgery In Operation

A 35-year old Hong Kong woman who was undergoing liposuction surgery by a plastic surgeon died after falling into a coma. Police are investigating.

The surgery took place in Sinsa-dong in one of the hundreds of plastic surgery clinics that dot Seoul’s pricey Gangnam neighbourhood.

The liposuction surgery was supposedly a low risk procedure but complications do occur, such as during anaesthesia and a number of deaths have been reported worldwide, so fatalities are not so uncommon afterall. Is beauty worth the risks with cosmetic surgery?

The woman was suddenly transferred to another hospital due to abnormal symptoms, but she was reported dead upon arrival.

The police are investigating the negligence of the medical staff along with the details of the accident. 김지환

According to the South China Morning Post, SCMP, a receptionist at one clinic in Gangnam said a liposuction operation aimed at removing fat around the waist typically costs between 1.8 million Won and 9 million Won (HK$11,769-HK$58,843 or US$1,502-US$7,514), depending on the obesity level of a patient, which is classified “on a scale of one to nine”.

Tuesday’s death is not the first to have been reported in Gangnam district clinics. In 2016, a 35-year-old Thai woman died during a liposuction and nose job operation, while a 24-year-old South Korean female student lost her life during a jaw bone-cutting surgery at a different clinic.

Hong Kong has also seen its fair share of plastic surgery tragedies. In 2014, a 32-year-old dance teacher died after undergoing liposuction at the Regrowth Hair Transplant Centre in Tsim Sha Tsui. In 2012, one woman died and three others suffered serious injuries following blood-transfusion therapy at a DR beauty centre. In 2010, a young woman died during breast-enhancement surgery performed by a doctor whose specialisation was gynaecology.

In Singapore, a number of complications and deaths have been recorded following liposuction surgery. In 2018, a 44 year old mother of two teenage sons was rushed to hospital when she collapsed in a clinic after the cosmetic procedure to remove fat from her abdomen and use it to make her thighs smoother.

Doctors then fought for two hours to save her but she died without regaining consciousness.

Risks from cosmetic surgery are very real indeed, and fatalities have been reported globally. The total complication rate of liposution is approximately 5% with most complications being minor. However, studies have revealed that deaths secondary to this procedure are as high as 1 in 5,000 surgeries. October 25, 2017

In contrast, SRA (and every other SR medical device) is non-invasive and works perfectly to remove fat. There is no anesthesia required, and the patient usually falls asleep during an SRA procedure because it is comfortable with no pain but a nice mood of warmness.

The SRA is capable of changing the total shape of a body to that of an awesome bodybuilding player that is called ‘the case of ASE (Awesome Supreme Effect)’.
